How does this Kickstarter work?

I have set a goal of $4400.00 to be reached in 90 days. If you feel moved to participate you simply choose any amount that feels right to pledge by going through my Amazon account. At the end of the time period if the the total goal is reached or beyond, then your credit card will be charged and the funds will be safely waiting in an account for me to finish this project! If the goal is not reached in that time period then your card is not charged at all and I will get zero of the funds.                                  As a backer you are contributing energy to a cycle of creative momentum. This music is fueled by you. My goal is for this music to be heard and shared. Period.

For the past few years I have been writing, recording and visualizing this album, which I am calling "Free From Fear".                                                                           This project is a labor of my love, appreciation and gratitude for the gift of music. The songs express empowerment and hope, but also tells stories of my growing pains and the necessary obstacles we must overcome reach higher ground. Creating an album has been a life long dream and a huge step forward in my journey as an artist.

I have been incredibly blessed with the support from many talented musicians, as well as producers and engineers whom have contributed so generously to this project.    At this point the majority of tracking (recording) is nearly completed, which means the next phase is right around the corner.

What is the next step you may wonder, and what is all the money for?

The money will contribute to the costs of mixing and mastering. This translates to many many many hours by professionals who get paid the big bucks to make the music sound as amazing as possible!!!                                                             Then... Duplication and Packaging                                                   Then....Distribution and finally getting my music out into the world and to YOU!!!

As an independent artist everything I do comes out of my own pocket, not the bank account of a record label. This can and has been an expensive endeavor but also gives me complete and total artistic freedom, that's something that cannot be bought and sold. Music is not about money and the separation that dollar signs create. MUSIC IS ABOUT CONNECTION!

Although $4400.00 seems like a big chunk of money this amount alone will not pay for all that needs to happen but WILL assist in making SIGNIFIGANT strides to towards the completion of the album. I chose a goal that I believe is reachable but there is no limit to how much can be raised with your help and support. The more money that is pledged the bigger and better the album will be, AND the sooner it will be available for you. As you can see on the right side of the screen there are some wonderful rewards to show my appreciation. So i'ts kind of a nice exchange.
