Following a successful performance of Flower Fiction in June at the Alvin Ailey Theater, help us raise money to develop the next section of this mother-daughter duet.
Continuing her MOM Project, Ellis and her mother, Marni, combine backgrounds in post-modern and Graham, to create a duet that explores the myth of protocol. Using flowers to represent roles imposed by expectations, together they define a new course. Part two of Flower Fiction will use community and more dancers to express a broader view of the mother-daughter dynamic.
