WHERE WE DID IT- This first portion of the film (used to make the trailer) was shot in its entirety along the Bronx River, where New York City hides one of its few natural treasures, and only fresh water river that the city can claim. However, the river has in fact been indulged in the greatly admired "City Charm" (almost 2 centuries of serving as natural sewage for industrial waste). Nevertheless, thanks to the Bronx River Alliance and their partners, the river has been rejuvenated and its beauty restored into what you see in this trailer.

The Bronx River Alliance collaborated with us, lending their expertise and resources, including the canoe our character sets out on. They offered their help and welcomed our initiative with open arms. WHY THIS STORY- Beneath the skyscrapers a newfound nostalgia has arisen towards the sound of old-time Americana. Urbanites are embracing their folk roots with instruments such as the banjo, washtub base, suitcase kickdrum and the likes. Overheard in the NYC subways and streets of Brooklyn, this music comes alive; our story is one of its incarnations.

Our story stems from the undertones of our interactions and the subtle power music and ads can hold over us when the scene is set and the mind is susceptible. The weak are exploited by the wicked… paranoia ensues. 

These undertones should be especially examined Now, that our daily lives are saturated with inescapable media and popular culture. The purpose of our film is to explore how these subtleties in our environment influence behavior, in this case creating a hostile atmosphere. It envelops our sense of reality, driving the timorous to absurd conclusions with dire consequences.

WHAT AWAITS- So far, we've already shot the first 4 pages of a 15 page script. But movies cost a lot of money and require a lot of collaboration, which is why we would like to invite you into our process of filmmaking. Become a patron of the arts and help our film get funded!

Budget is going mainly towards: Transportation, Light and Camera Equipment, Props and Wardrobe, Sound Equipment, Food, Locations/Lodging, Compensations, Fundraising fees, Post-Production, etc.

We need to reach our minimum goal to get any funding at all, but there is no maximum amount that can be raised. Any amount above and beyond our goal will be used to pay for film festival fees, and really trying to make this film as high quality as possible. We're all very hard workers, doing this for little or nothing, so all contributions are greatly appreciated.
