About this project
This music project was born out of what
has inspired and uplifted me through music, yoga and chanting. It features some of the most talented
kirtan musicians in L.A. and is designed for relaxation, ecstatic liberation
and celebration.
My love for all forms of music and
devotional prayer has always been in my life. I have early memories of being with my grandparents in their
church as they prepared for their weekly choir songs. When I was 18 years old, I was
introduced to a sound therapist in northern California named Pilar. The entire
practice I began with her was focused on finding authenticity through the
tonality of my sounds and breath.
Part of my Bachelor’s Degree @ UCLA even included studying Ethnomusicology
and the use of sound in ritual/religious practices as well as study with Tom
Kenyon in Seattle and the sound healers of magical Findhorn in Scotland where I
was born. In the last 5 years, I
studied my butt off to become a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture and
I now use Sanskrit and Buddhist mantras as an integrated part of my own
wellness practices for health and healing. Sacred music is and will forever be a huge part of what I
love about life and what I share with people and music lovers.

Terra Gold, L.Ac., C.Y.T., E-RYT500 is a California-licensed Acupuncturist, a clinical nutritionist, a certified Yoga therapist and a Bhakti Kirtan musician. Having grown up immersed in the spiritual and metaphysical traditions of Yoga, Buddhism, esoteric Christianity and Shamanism, Terra holds a graduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture, a BA from UCLA in World Arts and Cultures and an allied professional degree in Integrative Body Psychotherapy. She is the co-founder of the wellness company Yoga Doctors and she is co-director of the Yoga and the Healing Sciences Teacher Training Program at Loyola Marymount University, one of the only teacher training programs in the country affiliated with an accredited four-year University. Her first professional music album in the Bhakti music world will be released in 2011 WITH YOUR HELP!!! In addition, Terra is a member of the California State Oriental Medicine Association, a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a former Lululemon ambassador. She has been featured on the cover of LA Yoga Magazine and in the widely acclaimed books, Yoga For Dummies and Shakti, The Feminine Power of Yoga.
