Wow! Some haters....
HI backers...
Well, for some reason several dozen people have come out of the woodwork lately hating on my project. I'm not sure exactly why NOW...but it's odd that they're all coming at the same time, accusing me of homophobia, and being a "fauxgressive" trying to make money off "white guilt," whatever that means.
I want to thank you all for supporting me and my project. I have the best intentions and hope to open a meaningful dialogue. Obviously, some people won't like it. I guess that's the price a writer pays for wanting to actually say something useful.

Thanks Sian. I feel the way you do. I'm not sure why all of a sudden so many people are calling me names and criticizing a book that hasn't even been published yet...seems a little counterintuitive. But that's what makes the world go round.

Wow, when I read the beginning of that I presumed the HATERS would be homophobic. I think of this book as hopefully doing for sexuality what Malorie Blackman's 'Noughts and Crosses' did for race. From your facebook, it seems you have similar hopes. Don't let the haters get you down - you're doing something great! :)
