Oh my gosh, it seemed like FOR-EV-ER for our game [Rocket Penguin] to get reviewed by Apple! And then all of a sudden BAM!!! It was in the App Store!

First off, thanks for your support on our first game! Yay, it's in the App Store! Secondly, we would like to give you a brief summary of what you have done for us, and what we have done for you:

1) You helped us by being a part of our Kickstarter Project, which is just amazing. You kept us going!

2) We rewarded you by putting YOUR NAME in our game, as well as some "SWAG" you may have chosen.

3) We created a mobile game for the iOS, played it ourselves, updated YOU as we went along, and now we have released it in the Apple App Store.

4) We look back at what we said in the beginning and realized that during GAME DEVELOPMENT, things did change!

So here's a rundown of what changed since we first created this in KICKSTARTER, and WHY.

ORIGINAL STORYLINE: We originally wanted this to be a "level" game where you play each level until you eventually get to the end (hence Hawaii). But there was something "uneasy" about "ending" our game because we thought it would be more interesting to keep it open ended. So we decided to make it an "Endless" type game, with wave after wave of enemies swarming you!

FREE v.s. PAID: In the beginning we wanted this to be a paid app, where people could download the game for $1.00, but the Indie Developer in us said, "wait a minute, we love free games just like everyone else, so for our first game how about we make it accesible for everyone?". We felt that spreading our game to everyone was more important than getting money from a few. In addition to that, we justified this decision by making sure we had "In-App Purchases" to allow people to get ahead in the game for a small fee (but you don't have to). Everyone loves FREE, but not everyone can pay a fee.

iOS / ANDROID: Now that we've learned a few things by submitting an app to Apple, we have to say that although we still intend to release Rocket Penguin in the Android Market (or what's the new name, Google Play?), we know that it will be a challenge for us. Since there are many devices out there, it could be difficult testing on all of them, especially because there are so many versions and "custom" phones. With that said, we will give it a shot, but we don't have many Android devices to test on. We will do research on this, and target the major ones, first.

HUNGRY SHARKS / POLAR BEARS: We actually do have more enemies and characters for Rocket Penguin, we just haven't released them yet. We wanted to introduce these characters the right way, instead of cramming them all into the first version of the game! We have a plan, and we will be updating the game with more creatures, weapons, and surprises. Just give us a sec!

It's great because your name is in the credits, so YOU are a part of this! This is FREE after all, so there's no need to worry about trying to convince someone to get it!
