Connected as Alexander Sigman (684 friends)

I'm a composer of instrumental, electronic, and multimedia/installation works, currently based in San Francisco, CA.

In 2010, I completed a doctorate in Music Composition at Stanford. Prior to that, I obtained a BA in Cognitive Sciences and a BM in Music from Rice University.

I also spent 2.5 years in Europe, including a stint in the Netherlands, where I attended the one-year Sonology course at the Royal Conservatoire @ The Hague, and became involved with the Ensemble Modelo62.

Outside of composing, I co-direct the MAACM, a community-based arts/education program serving the San Francisco Peninsula, teach digital audio technology-related courses at Cogswell Polytechnical College, and edit the Search Journal for New Music and Culture.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, wine-tasting, and attending films, concerts, and exhibitions.
