A note from the director: 

A group of terrified survivors huddled together in the dark.  I was probably ten years old and certain that an old black and white movie could never scare me.  Suddenly--with a great crash--THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD burst through the door!  In what I'm sure was a coincidence, at that exact moment my heart decided to qualify for the high jump at the Summer Olympics.   

So began a love affair with old horror movies. Karloff. Lugosi. Chaney. Lee. Men who struck fear into the hearts of millions, usually doing so with what today would be considered the most rudimentary of special effects.  They had to rely mostly on their very screen presence, their acting ability, to capture the hearts and minds of the audience.  And for every one of these movie monster actors whose name you know, there are fifty who are lost to time.

It was this thought that struck me.  What would a day in the life of one of these old actors be like?  What would happen when the audience who had once thrilled to see them on the silver screen no longer cared--or even remembered them?  And what would it take to make the old man feel like he was in his prime once more?
