Dear Catalysts,

I am sitting in the Zurich airport about to fly off for a much needed holiday with my love. One of those holidays that is not a luxury but a requirement. I am leaving the film in such capable hands – with Stefanie Diaz and Madeleine Ranges – in my office and with my distributor ­– Erin Owens at Long Shot Factory. And a host of others helping across the country to get the film out city by city, including my valiant Executive Producer Joanna Plafsky who is down in Florida this month doing Q + A's in my stead.

Sitting in this airport, flying once again, I think back to the whole long journey of the year and how far MY REINCARNATION has come. It started with a huge funding debt. With the help of a fantastic team – Lisa Duva, Katherine Nolfi, Stefanie and hundreds of people around the world – the film broke all funding records with Kickstarter. From a film that couldn't get into any USA film festivals, the film premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival in October and launched in NYC with the honored support of Khyentse Yeshe, the film's protagonist and son of Choegyal Namkhai Norbu to fabulous reviews and is now booked in 37 cities! Meanwhile the film continues to show at festivals worldwide, in the cinema in Switzerland, and will soon to open theatrically with W-Film in Germany.

There are never enough hands, nor enough funds for small film distribution, but the wave is growing and many people are spreading the word around the country with their combined efforts and love of MY REINCARNATION. We have widened the circle with hosted screenings of such gorgeous variety of Hosts from various religions and beliefs. This very week included a Yantra Yoga Instructor, Naomi Zeitz, a Rabbi, Rabbi David Ingber, a Tibetan Medicine Doctor, Menpa Phuntsog Wangmo, and a Catholic Parish Priest Father Michael Holleran. What I have learned about this film is that it speaks to all denominations and can be used to facilitate discussion on so many topics, including Atheism!

One of the most exciting ways to create outreach and dialogue around the film is through Hosted Screenings. I would like to extend my thanks to John DiLeva Halpern and Alan Steinfeld for helping us and being fantastic hosts. We'd like to continue this wonderful dialogue by setting up new MY REINCARNATION Hosted Screenings in other cities as the film opens across the USA.  If you or someone you know would like to do "Question and Answer Sessions" after any given screening, please contact Madeleine at Zohe Films today!

Hard to believe the time has come with such exciting news: New York Times review calls MY REINCARNATION: "Astounding!"

MY REINCARNATION openings in theaters TODAY in NYC at Cinema Village and Los Angeles at Laemmle Monica.

So amazing after 22 years! Please tell everyone you know in these cities to go see the film this weekend (attached is an Ecard)!

I will be at the NYC screenings today and tomorrow with Yeshi Namkhai the film's star and then in LA Sunday and Monday to do question and answer sessions. Send everyone you know day or night! Even if you are abroad tell everyone you know in America!

Let's get the film held over in both cities and prove how important it is to share real spiritual stories in these difficult times...

After all your support and empowerment, it is with great joy that I am able to announce the MY REINCARNATION USA Theatrical Release starting October 28th in New York City’s, Cinema Village Theater, and in Los Angeles’s, Laemmle Monica Theater, distributed by LONG SHOT FACTORY. The press has just begun to roll in:

Enormous thanks to all of you who have been such generous and heartfelt backers of the film on Kickstarter. You are directly responsible for helping us iachieve this dream of an American Theatrical Tour. We could not have done it without you!

Film Protagonist, Khyentse Yeshe arrived in New York on Monday and will accompany the film to its festival premiere at the Hamptons Film Festival and for a month of events and screenings, where he will be doing question and answers sessions with the film and I on the East Coast. He will also give rare teachings in both, Amherst, MA and New York City during this period.

As you know so well, MY REINCARNATION is a great tool for starting dialogue about crucial topics for our times: such as fathers & sons, spirituality, love, family, cultural identity, exile, the Tibetan diaspora – and past and future lives.  To support this discussion, we just launched an exciting new web campaign co-sponsored with Tibet House, Tibet Fund and the Interdependence Project! Come visit our dialogue space SEE THE FILM + SHARE YOUR STORY and share your thoughts and stories…. Be part of the continuing discussion!

It’s just the beginning. MY REINCARNATION is now booked theatrically in 10 US cities, with the goal of having the film play all over America. The industry will look at how well the film does at the box office in NYC and LA the first weekend and week to see if the film is worth booking other cities. If the film does well, the film will be held over for a second week and third week in NY and LA and other theaters will jump on board to show it around the country. Our goal is at least a 3-week run in each location! (The industry abroad  also looks at the US box office results to determine if they will distribute the film in their territory ­– so this a crucial moment for the film in the world cinema!)

We need your help to spread the word! You did it before with the Kickstarter campaign – breaking all records – and proving that there is a huge audience for MY REINCARNATION! Now, let’s show the film industry how important MY REINCARNATION is and get this crucial film into cinemas across the country for everyone to see, share and discuss.

Here are some concrete things you can do to help:

• Go see the film in NYC or LA Opening Weekend or Week. Buy a block of tickets and take your friends & family & neighbors! If you don't live there, tell everyone you can!
  
• Write a Personal Email to all your friends& family & neighbors announcing the NYC & LA Openings. (If you are abroad, tell your USA friends!)
• Put the announcement on your Facebook Page or other social Network sites you’re on. (Our twitter handle is @reincarnationmy) Do a Countdown, blog, post, update, comment, rejoice!
• On Monday Oct 24th, we will have a link to ticket sales, which you can include in your announcement as well.
• Write an email to all the social groups you know, such as other Family, Buddhist, Yoga, Spiritual, Religious, Film, Book, Tibetan, or any other organizations, asking them to post a notice about the film opening on their website. • Include information about the film in an upcoming newsletter or events calendar.
