Our Parklet will transform street space into a unique recreational landscape featuring salvaged wood and native plants.
Parklets enliven our city's neighborhoods. Whether we are participants acting in the familiar landscape of our day to day, or resident-explorers delighting in the newly discovered, Parklets refashion our experience as city dwellers, and require of us an altered navigation. They offer each block a chance to share its character, to reclaim street space in favor of community space, and thus to build a locality that feels integrally in touch with its people.
Our Parklet:
Our Parklet will be fashioned and maintained by people who live close by it, who are invested in the beauty and potential of our shared neighborhood home. Once constructed, the space will continue to be refined over time in response to those who visit it. We are so thankful for the donations we have already received, as well as for the time, expertise, and encouragement we have been given. We are excited to see where the project will go!
