About this project
Space Out is a short film that brings together a real-world high school experience with a science fiction space fantasy.
The film was created in collaboration with high school students from Envision Academy in Oakland, CA.
Please help us finish this film by donating through Kickstarter. We are really excited about the project, and hope you are too. Any donation would help. Here's how Kickstarter works: if we don’t meet, or exceed, our goal of $8000, we get nothing and your donation doesn't go through. Your pledges are not just about money, though. Any size donation will be a show of support for the kids in the film as they head toward potential careers in film. So any contribution you make in helping that little green bar move to the right is genuinely appreciated. If you give a lot and we go beyond our goal then you will be helping to offset the huge production costs already incurred. No amount is too small.
What your money will help us with:
* Visual effects artists - We need to hire visual effects artists (animators, lighters, and 3D fx artists) to complete the some of the more complex shots that will make the story come alive.
* Sound Mixing session - Sound is half the picture, and nothing makes a film feel professional like a good sound mix. Help us to master the sound in a professional studio.
* Music - The soundtrack will be a mixture of hip hop and traditional movie scoring. A portion of the money raised will go to our composer, the musicians, and the recording sessions.

Aidan began making movies at the age of 7. Since then he has made countless short films, won a few awards, and made himself known in the visual effects world. He has worked on such films as the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Star Wars Episode III, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
