Ive been asked many times why I sculpt so many rabbits. In this video I give you my best guess!

My favorites are those patchwork rabbit jackets--all colors of pelts all sewed together helter-skelter. I just cringe when I see them, because all I can think of is all those little dead rabbits. And funny, I have no trouble eating rabbit, I just don't like to be reminded of it.

a bittersweet story tony..funny how we'll eat a cow or a chicken or a pig (assuming we eat meat, which i do), but a lot of us get freaked out about eating a rabbit (me included)..just some weird brain connection..too soft & fuzzy, i guess

Brent- Im pretty sure I would enjoy the dish you mentioned. I think though at the time I couldnt understand why anyone would hurt the fuzzy little hoppy guys in the pens! You know, I probably still couldnt eat rabbit...still such a weird vivid memory burned in my brain!

Tony, I must say that I love rabbit meat which is a great source of lean protein. My favorite preparation these days is "Rabbit Confit" which is poached rabbit in canola and olive oil with garlic, fresh herbs, and spices. I also use the rabbit stock that settles out of the oil to flavor risotto or other grain mixes. Awesome!
I do really love your rabbit sculptures, too.
