Hello,

My name is Ja'Malik. Help move me to new audiences. I am a freelance choreographer under the auspice of BalletBoyProductions. I have been working hard to get my "New Ballets" for a "New Audience" in the public for the past three years. I have self produced my work in several performance series and showcases in NYC and have had the wonderful opportunity to create a new original work on CityDance Ensemble of D.C.
Two new wonderful opportunities have been presented to me to further present my work and expand my audience base. Both showcases are being curated by Emery LeCrone, a fellow freelance choreographer here in NYC.

The Young Choreographers Showcase will take place Nov. 14th at 8pm at MMAC (Manhattan Movement and Arts Center) and will feature a new work to the music of Miguel Frasconi and Joby Talbot. Currently being created on dancers from American Ballet Theater and Ballet Noir NYC.

The 92nd Y Harkness Dance Center's FRIDAYS AT NOON, since 1986, is a free, one-hour dance event that includes work choreographed by emerging, mid-career and legacy artists. I am presenting "Small Love Vignette" to the music of Franz Shubert and Donny Hathaway featuring artist from Dance Theater of Harlem Ensemble and Ronald K. Brown, Evidence/ A Dance Company.

With your support we can help garner a salary to all 6 dancers for involvement in rehearsals and performances. Provide much needed studio space and time for creation and rehearsal.

My dancers and myself are all dedicating ourselves to presenting the highest quality of art with minimum resources.
