Two-days, 30-plus bands, performers and DJs celebrating the city's musical landscape. This is Fresno Urban Sound Experience Year 4.

New Orleans has jazz. 
Nashville has country (and western), and L.A. has hair metal and the sunset strip ... 

Here in Fresno, we have own our sound, our own musical landscape of bands and locales that reaches across genres and taps into the roots of rock and rap, indie, metal, jazz and more. 

For three years, Fresno Urban Sound Experience has served as celebration of those bands, musicians, promoters and venues that make up the city’s authentic sound. 

You can be a patron of that sound by supporting the festival in its fourth year, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Know that this is about more than just music. It's about a vision of Fresno's urban core, and supporting those who support that vision. It's about the people and places that already exist setting a foundation for those who follow. So, forget what you’ve heard or think you know about downtown (or Fresno’s music scene for that matter). Experience it yourself. 

This is the new downtown and it’s alive and fun. And yes, that’s very much OK.
