Steffan, Thank you so much for your devotion to and interest in the WWII vets. My father was a 5 year Navy veteran of WWII, I graduated from Kent State in the 60's - living the civil rights movement and I have a daughter that is a trauma nurse and captain in the Air Force and a son -in-law that is also a captain and one of the original horse soldiers that is currently back in Afghanistan. I applaud your work and salute a true hero - Joe LaNier. Can't wait for the book.

Mr LaNier, we did business a few years ago and I am so sorry that I did not take the time to really get to know you at the time. I knew from the very first time we met that you were a class act, but now I am even more impressed learning a little about your story. I cannot wait to get the book. Thank you for being a truly great American and a super person.

Hello,
I just became a backer. If I am correct, your photo is of the Pacific War Memorial in Hawaii. The original molds for this monument came from the Iwo Jima Survivors Association from Connecticut. The original monument is in Newington, Connecticut. We are also trying to raise funds to maintain our National Iwo Jima Memorial Monument. Funds to maintain our memorial are running out and the future of our memorial is uncertain. Please visit www.SOSIwoJima.com to learn more about the monument.
