     Feed Us Fund Us, founded in January of 2012, is a not for profit collaboration of artists, designers and chefs dedicated to feeding the Los Angeles community gourmet food while supporting artists, creators, thinkers, talkers, and innovators. Our goals are to support artists who would otherwise be incapable of realizing their projects, sponsor work that would otherwise go unseen and to provide delicious food to as many people as we can along the way. Since we started out last winter we have been doing everything we can to cook and present food of a quality and price that is, in most places, unbeatable. The money we raise is generated from the labor we lovingly invest and we pride ourselves on our commitment to making good food accessible and farther reaching. We have always been good at problem solving and adapting with ad hoc precision to the roadblocks we meet. We have come a long way from our first 15 person event in January to the 200 person MFA show we catered last Spring. 

     FUFU is currently gearing up for our biggest event yet. We are partnering with Oliver Brown of the Los Angeles Jazz Funk group "Free Food" to cater a hip-hop show fundraiser at the Lyric Theater. The event will raise money for Global Inheritance, a national non-profit which educates about progressive social change. The Lyric does not have a kitchen and for the first time we are being faced with a problem that we can’t jury-rig a solution to. We need to invest in a portable mode of cooking. Luckily, in this fine city of ours, the predominating street food culture makes such products relatively affordable. If funded, we will purchase a taco cart (essentially a large stainless propane griddle), hotel pans, sheet trays and various inserts which will allow us to advance our mission of bringing good food to people at an extraordinary price. While these supplies will make it possible for us to cater the show at the Lyric they will also be a profound overhead investment in the future of Feed Us Fund Us. Your funding will make it possible for us to grow more inclusive and help bring food and events out of our crowded apartments and into the streets of Los Angeles. So, by funding this project you are not only helping us produce a single event but giving us the ability to produce innumerable future events and drastically increase our potential to serve good food and raise money for dedicated artists.
