A ransom for $3500? What an odd number. That is exactly how much we need to master and press our new cd! Probably kidnapped itself.
Who kidnapped The Fallen Stars new album "Valentine's Day"? Well, in actuality, no one! We have it but unless we raise the remaining $3500 for mastering and duplication it may as well be held for ransom!
We love making music and recording albums, but it sure can get expensive. We've been working on our new album Valentine's Day, since well, last Valentine's Day it seems, but we're almost there.

That's where you come in. As our fans, friends and family, you can get involved by choosing a pledge amount and reward from the right side of the screen. We're offering all kinds of options for all kinds of amounts, so we hope there's something there for everyone. Every little bit helps!
As we mentioned in the video, in order to actually receive the money, we need to reach our target amount by April 29th. If we miss that target, even by a dollar, we don't receive anything. We've set the target at $3500 to get us at least through the mastering and pressing, but if we hit $4500 we can get t-shirts made and any pledge over $50 will also get a new Fallen Stars t-shirt in addition to the other rewards.
Not only does this album feature the singing and playing of the four of us but we also enlisted the help of some amazing friends; Danny Ott, hot off his sessions with Dave Alvin, joined us on guitar. Gregg Braught also stopped by to put his signature guitar on there. Rami Jaffee took some time off from his day gig with the Foo Fighters to play some amazing B3 and he and Geoff worked together on a number of songs. Former Whiskeytown violinist and new friend Caitlin Cary added her beautiful playing to a few songs before she headed to SXSW with her new band The Small Ponds.
Valentine’s Day, the song, was written just a few days before we finished all the recording. It’s a song about love coming back home. A number of the songs on here seemed to echo that sentiment and so a title was born.
