If anyone is interested, a video clip I took last week while cutting a 1/8" birch case for my assembled Rockit on a laser cutter.

      http://youtu.be/lIyFFY8InPE

I took the case template files from Matt's website and tweaked them a little bit. I will throw some pics up when I find the time to put it all together.

As soon as I heard about this on Create Digital Music like a month ago, I was sold. You've got yourself a winner here. I love hybrid synths.

I hope it makes it. I like to tinker with electronics especially these musical synth kits. The only suggestion I have is that I would like to see the $125 kit include some kind of template to make a cover for it. Just a paper template or maybe even offer a pdf online if it goes through. Either way I think this is a great kit and I really hope it gets funded.

Connected as Matt Heins (72 friends)

I'm a big nerd. I love designing electronics, especially learning new areas and solving tough problems. I actually started out in History but came back to electronics to learn how to build my own audio equipment. I'm a believer in the DIY open source ethic and in contributing to the development of DIY open source hardware. When not doing electronics, I'm thinking about electronics while I hang out with my wife and little baby future electronics nerd son.
