Several of the artists have responded to me all saying the same thing. In some of the responses the artists seem genuinely frustrated as well, while some responses felt a bit boilerplate. They are sorry about this situation but head editor Jennie Choung was/is in charge of the Kickstarter project and all rewards shipping. A few of them mentioned that many rewards shipments were returned in the mail. Jennie herself (as well as several of the artists) has made no response at all.

Here's why I don't believe them:
They keep saying many packages were returned as their justification for why people have received nothing (not that that is a "good enough" answer, if a package was returned, follow-up on your error and get it to them) but one of the rewards I was supposed to get was a DIGITAL copy, and I didn't even get that. What's the excuse there? That the email was returned, too?

I don't think any effort was made to get backers their rewards and I don't think any effort will be made. I'm disappointed, and worse, now I'm angry.

I can't believe this is still dragging on. I have just contacted 19 of the 21 contributors through various means. We'll see if any answers arise. Disappointed.

Further update for anyone else reading this.

I mailed all the artists I could get an e-mail address for and have had a couple of replies. Both point me to

geekie@haemichoung.com

As the person who got the funds and was co-ordinations this. I have mailed them seeking details but to my fellow disappointed backers I say it's worth you doing so yourself - you never know!!

Tried e-mailing all the artists listed on the 789 Studio website and received this....

Hi Andrew!

Weirdly enough I was just drafting an email to our head editor/organizer of the project about backers who haven't received their copies; from what I understand there have been some problems with things getting returned or lost in the mail, though I don't think that's the only thing that may have gone wrong. I'm emailing her now to figure out what happened/get some of kind of action plan in progress for those who didn't get their rewards, I really want to get this resolved ASAP.

Hopefully there should be a kickstarter update in the near future with more solid info.

Whats even worse I tried contacting the author via different channels and got finally ananswer saying everything will be sent now, but after that , no more reaction to my emails :(
