Kickstarter

I am doing this Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to donate to WMVY Radio which, in return, allows me to host my own radio hour. I get to play any music I want including my own songs; as such it is also a practical method of getting my music heard by a national/international audience. Any extra money beyond the project goal will enable me to record additional songs for the EP/radio show. In a perfect world. I would fill the entire show with my songs!

I am one of those people who was born to make music. Unfortunately the circumstances and my own fear of economic failure thwarted my true life purpose and I became a video editor,primarily for PBS. Which all and all wasn't a bad second choice! I have worked on a lot of great shows from Eyes on the Prize, which is a piece of television history, to recently The Goat Rodeo Sessions with Yo Yo Ma, ChrisThile, Edgar Myers and Stuart Duncan. Last year I edited an Angelique Kidjo show, Spirit Rising, with many guests including Branford Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, and Josh Groban. All these music shows have reawakened my desire to make music and put it out there.

I am not doing this out of a belief that I will be discovered and become rich and famous. I am doing this out of a belief that it is something I need to do. Some things are just worth doing. I am a boomer trying to live up to my calling. Perhaps that will be the name of the finished EP, Boomer!

-The estimated date of the radio show is September 2012, but this can be subject to change if complications arise; all pledgers will be kept up to date on the status and scheduling of the radio show as it develops.
