These songs were written, recorded and performed (enthusiastically) throughout the year ZOIO. I spent that magical year with my FRNDS and FMLY, travelling around the country making people sweaty.  ZOIO and In the Shame Cave is gonna be it for VD for a while.   NIGHTMARE MAKEOUT is the record that ZOIO would have been, if I had gotten the chance to finish it.  But it's about 75% of what this kickstarter was all about!  So go snag em fo free, and remember - there's only a week left to get all your swag so email us about what tapes, zines or tee's you want!

We wanted to thank ya'll for donating to our Kickstarter, and let you know where we were at.  You might have heard by now our fundraising project wasn't successful.  Because Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform we didn't receive any of your generous donations.  But we still want to give you all that awesome stuff you ordered, and help Vacation Dad put out his record!  Over the next few days we'll be getting ready to make all the tee's, cassettes and zines that you may have ordered and we'll be asking everyone to paypal us their donations so that we can send you your swag.  Also, Vacation Dad is currently remastering all of his old/newish songs and will be making them all available for free download.  That means you'll still be able to have half of Nightmare Makeout, along with some unreleased material and everything thats on VD's bandcamp.  

Fortunately we're not living in the van anymore.  We've gotten back on our feet (somewhat) and are loving life in LA.  We're working hard with our FMLY to do some good in this city, and we haven't slowed down on putting out awesome tapes.  Charlie was able to replace his stolen things, and found a job working at the Gap.  LOL!  Andy (VD) is playing drums in Truman Peyote and Dream Panther.  He hasn't been able to afford to replace his gear yet, but with your help and a little luck, we're confident that Vacation Dad will be able to finish this record and put it out on MJ MJ!  So stay posted for more updates and details on how to get your rewards!
