In the midst of a very up-close-and-personal pap smear, two very different people make an unexpected love connection.

Project Overview

"A Date With My Gyno" is a short film meant to explore real dynamics. The humor and the scenario are comical, awkward, and pretty dang uncomfortable, but the theme and interactions are relatable and true to life.

Any contributions you make to this project will go towards creating an authentic location equipped with all of the proper medical accouterment. We will also be using the Kickstarter money for costs involved with prep, equipment rentals, onset expenses, post production, festival submissions, and my next annual exam. Okay, fine, one of the above may or may not be true. I'll let you take a guess.

Anyway, we are so looking forward to shooting this short, and really any amount of money will be a great help. Thank you again for your support! You rock my socks (you know, like the medical ones with the traction on the bottom).

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

We will be working with a limited budget, which means asking for favors when it comes to crew, art department, rentals, etc. Therefore, our main challenge will be coordinating schedules considering most of our team will be volunteering their time.

And once wrapped, our primary goal will be getting word out about this project. However, we are confident that with a combination of online resources, festivals, and word-of-mouth, we will be able to build our audience.
