An incredibly rich first person environment spanning from a thousand years in the past to a thousand years in the future.
Welcome To The Third Age
"The Third Age" of mankind is one of perfection. It is one in which technology is allowed to advance unhindered. It is an age when the worlds of spirituality and science exist in complete harmony with one another. Even within this second Eden, there are those who wish for nothing more than to see it all burn. The downfall of this remarkable society begins with the discovery of a single boy who has grown up in complete isolation from the outside world.
The Third Age Project
Show-N-Tell was founded by Erin Gilman, a creative director for 20 years in San Francisco. Erin founded Show-N-Tell in 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After working with some of the largest organizations on the planet, including HP, Apple and the New York Times, Erin moved back to his hometown of Colorado Springs to complete the Third Age Project.
After working with multiple companies to gain the attention of VCs and Angel investors, we understand firsthand how frustrating it is to have a product that needs only a small amount of rocket fuel to break the atmosphere, but the big boys won't let you in the door. Kickstarter is the ultimate solution for those who want to get their product in front of customers to prove their concept before seeking other forms of investment.
By keeping the scale of the project “small,” we accomplish a few wonderful things. It allows us to create a game that will get to the marketplace quickly, without sacrificing quality. It allows us to maintain creative control over the entire project, which gives us the ability to create an atmosphere in the real world, as well as within the game, that is focused on the end-user experience, rather than pleasing executives, who are at best unattached.
Our goal is to make the most amazing gaming environment, combined with the most incredible story possible. With the help of the Kickstarter community and our detailed production storyboard, we know exactly what to do and when to do it.
What Is The Storyline?
What is an angel? What is a demon? While many claim to know their origins, most theological texts have conflicting answers. However, ancient scrolls from the holy land paint a much more frightening picture than what Western civilization has taught us. The end result of exhaustive research is "The Third Age" series, which weaves together the nature of existence, quantum mechanics and lost spiritual concepts in a spell-binding adventure that will make you see the world in a different light.
Noah, 15, does not know that he is the end result of a breeding program that was set into motion 3,000 years ago. He only knows a simple life in the mountains, isolated with his parents, until war angels and mysterious soldiers destroy his home and separate him from his family. Forced to move into the city without knowing the fate of his parents, Noah tries to adjust to his new world, only to learn that everything he has ever been told is a lie. "The Third Age: The Fallen" follows Noah on a journey to find the truth within his parents deceptions, while learning that his dark past has the power to destroy the world as we know it, as well as the dimensions beyond. Set in a world where miracles are commonplace, "The Third Age: The Fallen" is an exciting beginning to a epic action adventure.
Over the next six to 10 months, our small team will develop each stage of "The Third Age" game by creating characters and worlds that match each chapter within the book "The Third Age: The Fallen." Once each of these worlds is created, we will begin a detailed user-testing environment that will allow us to make adjustments based upon direct customer feedback. All the while, we will document our process by blogging, providing production videos of in-game play and generally letting everyone know where we stand in the development process.
We will set up two remarkable ways for fans and Kickstarters to interact with "The Third Age" team. We will set up our own closed social network where all Kickstarters who invest can interact with the team. Within our private social network, we will post exclusive content only available to those who have pledged their support. This social network will be up and running at www.thirdageproject.com/ once the funding cycle has concluded.
Additionally, we will set up a “Yahoo answers”-like environment for all those interested in in learning more about "The Third Age," including all the research we have done to create the technological, spiritual, political and social aspects of the books. The story of "The Third Age" has been compared to "The DaVinci Code," and many aspects of the stories will create a lively atmosphere for debate.
We are proud of the work we have done so far with "The Third Age," and we are making original pre-production artwork available to you as one of our many rewards. Among the pieces available are signed Giclees that will look amazing in your office or home.
Thank you for this opportunity to present "The Third Age" video game to you. We look forward to your support and getting to know each and every one of our supporters as we create one of the most original story-based action-adventure games ever created.
