About this project

So, you may have been following the Psalm Praise Project week by week. But if not, here's the scoop. I believe God challenged me to write a song every week, each one based on one of the Psalms from the Bible. I started on Sept. 11, 2009. Since then I have continued to post a rough video version of a song every week and have committed to continuing to do this for one year. This is all on my website, www.dereksandstrom.com.

Some of the songs are better than others, of course. That's always true, but it's especially true when the deadline is over my head! The best ones, though, I want to record really well so that they will be a blessing to listen to over and over, and to give God what I feel is a product worthy of the songs He has inspired me to write.

And that's why I need your help. I need help to fund this recording. I believe God will use it as a way to touch hearts and draw people closer to Him with this modernization of the words He spoke so long ago through the Psalms. God's word is still as relevant today as when He spoke it centuries before! Please prayerfully consider helping to get this recording made. God said that His word does not return to Him void. That's a promise! When His word goes out, something happens! Here's one more way His word can go out. Please consider helping. Thank you!
