THE WEDDING GOWN PROJECT is a  short documentary about the history of the iconic white wedding dress and the important role it plays in the lives of women of all ages. I have completed the necessary interviews and need your donation to complete the editing of the film with animation and music. These funds will also pay for website development and duplication of the film to submit to various film festivals around the United States. Funds will be allocated in the following way:

40% - editing
20% - animation
20% - website
20% - dvd duplication

This film is scheduled to be completed July 2012.

Donna Guthrie (writer/ director/producer) is the author of more than twenty award-winning books for children. She is the producer and writer for MEET ME AT THE CORNER, Virtual Field Trips for Kids, an interactive educational website (www.meetmeatthecorner.org). She is the co-founder of the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival and The Six Women Playwriting Festival, both of which are held each year in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Donna completed her MFA at Vermont College in Children's and Young Adult Writing and her BA from Rider University. She is a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Dramatist Guild.

Erin Hudson (cinematographer and editor) is passionate about sharing stories with depth and dignity and respect. She works as an independent director, editor and cinematographer. Hudson's documentaries have screened at festivals worldwide and have garnered awards such as a Student Academy Award, an International Documentary Association David L. Wolper Award, and a New Mexico Filmmakers Showcase Audience Favorite.  Erin is committed to film and video education. She's taught college level courses for over five years and is a core artist with the community arts organization, LIttleglobe. Erin completed her MA in Documentary Film and Video at Stanford University and her BA from Colorado College.
