So we made this movie, "Do It Again," about my quest to reunite the '60s rock band, The Kinks. It includes Sting, Zooey Deschanel, Clive Davis, Peter Buck, Paul Weller, Robyn Hitchcock and, of course, members of the Kinks.
And I think it's good. So does Variety and this fantastically named dude in Scotland.

Now I'm hitting the film festival circuit as I try to sell the movie so everyone can see it. We've played the prestigious International Film Festival Rotterdam and, in just the next two months, will hit Cleveland, Atlanta, Nashville, North Carolina, Bermuda (I know, tough job), Washington D.C., Buenos Aires and Boston.
One problem: Nobody pays you to apply to or show at film festivals. And my savings is down to $250.
I need help with basic promotion, from printing postcards and posters to having "Do It Again" buttons made. I need to be able to buy a cheeseburger when I'm attending a festival. We're also mailing out screeners to press and prospective buyers because now, with the movie finished, there's a mission: To get it on TV or in theaters so that you can see it.
