Great news on Sept 15 movie showing on WGBH. I cannot wait to see it ...for the fifth time. The fans will go nuts. Now, all those who missed the movie before will be able to dissipate their regrets for doing so.

Any more UK or online screenings of this? Would really love to see it.

I think its fantastic that Wichita is investing time and money into your movie. Their intention to promote this with a win/ win rationale( more exposure for city as an arts mecca) should be gratifying to you. Let me be the first to say that I fully expect Ray Davies to come around so as to allow you full dispensation of this film. Any perceived condescending attitude toward him in your movie is far outweighed by his deification and thrill about being the object of focus. When you are least expected, it will happen, as it should happen. Enjoy the presentation in Kansas with your family. It is just one more positive stepping stone.

The Kinks, Whoa, that brings back some brain cells. I was in college back in 1985 when I first discovered the Kinks. We even formed a band and played some of their songs at parties. Congrats on meeting your goal. All the best!

Great stuff Geoff. Just saw on Facebook. Love the project, looks like a hoot to make and watch. I saw The Kinks once at a Christmas show for a NYC radio station in the mid-80s. Great fun. Good luck, hope you're well.

Thanks, Michael... I think Ray moved out a few years ago but he really seems to love NO. Plays Fats Domino to introduce his shows.

So we've been stuck in the editing room trying to get our cut together. But I'm emerging on Wednesday for an appearance on WMBR, 88.1 with Christopher Vyce. From noon until 1, we'll play Kinks and Kinks-related tunes and talk up the movie. The site streams so go to: http://wmbr.mit.edu/

The Kinks were my mom’s favourite band. She would certainly want to see them celebrated more. As my mother’s son I was raised a believer in the rock & roll she loved. Please finish your film & make a good show of it.

I've been watching this project, thanks for lowering the pledge amounts. It was previously too rich for me at $25 but I've just backed you at $10.
