About this project
First let me start by saying, I believe in this project. The songs for the Let’s Be Beautiful album were written for the church, to help all of us wrestle with questions of faith and identity, and hopefully lead us to honestly respond to Jesus.
The songs are written, the musicians are in place, the vision is clear- The Let’s Be Beautiful Project is ready to launch. Now all I need is you.

Why Kickstarter?
I’m turning to Kickstarter.com and to YOU to help make this project happen. Kickstarter allows you to be a part of the making of this album in an incredible way. We have 45 days to raise $25,000. If we don’t reach our goal, we won’t get any of it. But if we do, your contributionswill go toward musicians, producers, studio time, and manufacturing for this album, and anything beyond $25,000 will be dedicated to finding new ways of using my gifts to encourage the Church as a whole to be beautiful. Your involvement means an inside look into the recording process through exclusive videos, blogs, and updates, and hopefully a vested interest in spreading the message of the Let’s Be Beautiful Project.
We’ve created some amazing incentives to thank you for giving to this project; from free downloads to paddleboarding sessions to a home-cooked meal with me and my brood, and even a house concert in your home. We’re also partnering with one of my favorite restaurants, Boneheads, to take the Let’s Be Beautiful Project into the community. For every backer to this Kickstarter campaign, Boneheads will donate a meal to local homeless families and families living in motels around Orange County.
How Did All Of This Come About?
A year ago God specifically impressed on my soul that I was beginning the second book in the trilogy of my life. I didn’t know if that was my mind playing Lord Of The Rings tricks on me or just “bad dates” (anyone get the Indiana Jones reference?). In the weeks and months to follow people (some I knew and others I didn’t)began to email and call with what they sensed God wanted me to hear. “Tim get ready for a new season, follow Jesus’ lead, and He will be with you...” This was so confirming of all I was hearing; exciting and terrifying at the same time.
While I don’t have all the missing pieces in place, here’s what I emphatically know; I know what I am made to do. My mission and focus are clearer than they’ve ever been. Hence, the Let’s Be Beautiful Project and album.

Tim Timmons is a worship leader, songwriter, and artist based out of Irvine, CA. His passion for leading believers to become followers of Jesus has inspired him to write such modern worship favorites as The Grateful and Never Will.
Having lived with a diagnosis of incurable cancer for the past 9 years, the honesty and personal vulnerability in Tim’s worship leading has given him a platform to point people to Jesus in concerts, churches and conferences across the country.
Currently writing for his next release, "Let's Be Beautiful", Tim continues to create original songs of faith that wrestle with the implications of truly following Jesus.
“What would happen if all of the professed believers in the world actually became followers of Jesus in their everyday lives? What would happen in our communities? I want to ask questions that lead people to respond honestly to God; whether that’s in anger or confusion or gratefulness or surrender.
Tim and his amazing wife Hilary have been married for 13 years and have 4 (count em, 4) amazing kids; Malia, Noah, and twins Aaron and Anna.
