Tennessee Stage Company's New Play Festival
We need your help! The Tennessee Stage Company needs to raise $2000 to help put on a World Premiere performance of The Good Son, by Craig Smith here in downtown Knoxville, TN. We have all sorts of rewards available for your donations: free tickets, signed posters, copies of the script signed by the playwright, himself, and much, much more! Spread the word!
The Tennessee Stage Company is a non-profit professional theatre company. Our mission is to enhance the cultural life of the Knoxville community through performance and education while providing professional opportunities for local artists. We support local actors, directors, writers and technicians.
Tennessee Stage Company's New Play Festival is designed to encourage and promote the development of new American plays. We accept submissions of unpublished works from playwrights all over the country, and typically review seventy scripts from over 25 different states. The festival consists of one world premiere production, staged readings and table readings of selected scripts, and a playwriting workshop for local writers. This series is ideal for seasoned professionals and developing theatre artists to collaborate and explore the craft.
This year's world premiere production is:
THE GOOD SON
