At long last -- and with many thanks to you all -- Historables has launched its first App for the iPad!  If you have an iPad, please download and give it a try! In any case, you can certainly view the App Store preview page here: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/historables-marie-ant-toinette/id540256496?mt=8   To get a few technical things right with Apple, we actually delayed the announcement for a week and uploaded a second version -- and it's now available globally.   

You can also see the promo video, screenshots and press release at Historables.com/press.  And if you download the iPad app, you'll see that it's free to play, has no advertising, and has some great additional games available with one in-app purchase.

And if you can, please tell some people about it - and how you backed it and made it happen (congratulations!)! As they say, 'marketing is everything,' and now we'll be sending out a 4000+ email blast, looking to get reviews on dedicated app review sites and mentioned in blogs, etc. So, now the fun really begins.... (and we'll be getting those backer rewards out to you all this month too!)

‘Thank You!’ to all the new backers who have joined the team and are giving Historables such great support. And ‘Thank You’ to all you early backers who have been talking it up since the launch of the Kickstarter campaign.

Project update: The Historables website just went live today! It’s at www.Historables.com   A couple days ago, the first tweet was sent @Historables.

Kickstarter update: Together, we’ve gone more than 80% of the distance and have tomorrow and Sunday left to meet the goal. (so amazing...it was just 75% a half hour ago!)  With everyone continuing to spread the word, we’re confident that we’ll meet (or exceed) the goal by Sunday night.

Thanks for your willingness to share this with others on Facebook, e-mail, Twitter… and we’re told that actual human-to-human conversations work pretty well too.   [But feel free to use any medium you like – if you can use architecture or folk dance to communicate about Historables, we’ll give you a special prize!]
