Music to spark memories and emotions for your beloved elder
There are certain songs which send me back in time. I can remember exactly where I was and who I was with when I hear them. I'll bet you have those songs as well. Such sense memories are emotional, powerful, immediate. And for many elders, they are their last link with a vibrant past. I have spent my life watching faces light up when I sing songs from the '40s, 30s, 20s, and even earlier. I have watched as people who were formerly silent and withdrawn have started to tap their toes and sing along to "Let Me Call You Sweetheart". My CD, "Mom's Musical Memories" will bring that magic into the families of elders and their caregivers. Daughters will be able to sing along with Dad as he remembers "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". Sons will know that Mom can relax to "Apple Blossom Time" as she remembers courting during WWII. I need to buy the licenses to these and other beloved songs. I also need money for studio time and CD production and distribution. I hope you will help me make musical memories come alive for many, many families. Thank you.
