Love Fit to Box  

"Love Fit to Box", is the first of a series of stories about  limited  perceptions of what defines love.
In this story, the bonds of loyalty are tested as a woman, "Roxanne Ellis", comes out as a lesbian to her family. In attempts to express that the most authentic part of a person's ability to love is nothing physical, Roxanne sparks a conversation with her brother, "Shakar", which allows him to re examine his point of view. During this journey, he discovers that the eyes through which much of the "straight" world views the LGBT community, don't enable an accurate depiction of who they really are as people.
Through powerful dialogue, and a comedic edge, "Love Fit to Box", thoroughly explores LGBT perspectives, offers you insight, laughter, and a film that shows that LOVE is a boundless possibility.

Our goal is that this film will shed light on the humanity that does not escape one's core because of their sexuality. We hope to motivate our audience to create a space of healing within families and turn respect into a cultural norm.  If we can learn to accept each other despite our differences, we can create a society where understanding overshadows ignorance and love can be expressed as intended...unconditionally.

WRITER/DIRECTOR - J. MOSES HARPER

J Moses Harper, is a visionary of artistic expression in support of social empowerment and healing. She specializes in music, film, literature,dance, and public speaking. She has a BA in music from SUNY Purchase and has performed at the Apollo Theater's Amateur Night Show as a Michael Jackson tribute artist. She's been a featured performer at the WOW Cafe Theater and does empowerment lectures in NYC public schools.She has been an advocate for LGBT rights for over 10 years.
