Jazz trumpeter John Raymond & his band, the John Raymond Project, are embarking on the making of their first, full-length record! And in partnering with Kickstarter.com, you now have the opportunity to come alongside of John as the album process unfolds, supporting the project and getting access to exclusive rewards only found here through Kickstarter!

THE STORY:

Over the past two years, my musical journey has given birth to a handful of new original jazz compositions. What's more is that each song uniquely expresses aspects of my spiritual growth as I pursue my relationship with Jesus Christ. All the pieces are set to record an album with these compositions:

-an incredibly talented band consisting of my good friends and fellow musicians -an opportunity to record for 2 days at Bennett Studios in New Jersey (one of the top-tier jazz studios on the east coast) -the legendary Jon Faddis has agreed to produce the album! -a soon-to-be-announced, major guest artist will be playing on 1 featured composition!

now, the only thing missing is...YOU!

THE VISION:

When a piece of art is shared, the joy to be had by the artist and the patron is increased infinitely than if the art is not shared in the first place. That's why my greatest desire for this music is that anyone would be able to come alongside of me and experience my entire process in creating it. With the funds from this Kickstarter Campaign, I will be able to fund and complete the entire album as well as have the opportunity to share it with you and with the rest of the world!

For your generous donations, Kickstarter allows me to give you "rewards" in return that give you an inside track into the album process from my eyes. From a collection of personal journal entries to exclusive photos and videos to a 3 day/2 night trip to New York City, the rewards are bountiful and ready to be given away! (check out all the rewards in the column to your right)

Any amount you are willing to donate will go a long way to make the project happen - even if it's just $5-$10! And by all means, we'd love you to give more too :)

THE DEADLINE:

We have 60 days to raise the funds for the project, and the album will only be funded if we reach our campaign goal of $9,800 after 75 days (the 90 days I said on the video is incorrect...its 75). If we don't meet the goal, you'll get the money you pledged back and we won't be able to make the album happen at all. BUT, if we do meet the goal your pledges will be counted towards the project, we'll be able to record the album and you'll get all the inside access you've duly earned!
