Update #8: Rewards in the mail!
I mailed your reward today. You will be receiving your reward next week. Thank you for your support of Freestyle Jam Camp. May others back your projects like you have backed mine. Happy 2010.

Update #7: The Day After
Freestyle Jam Camp was a success! I thank you again for your contributions and words of encouragement.
News flash: I promised that I will organize another Freestyle Jam in 2011 so stay tuned. Maybe you can attend and make it that much more special. Remember- Freestyle Jam Camp is open to kids from ages 7 on up - that means you : )
Did you notice that there were last minute pledges raising the amount well over $ 1,000!?
These pledges came from checks via mail, donations at Freestyle Jam Camp, and through PayPal.
You won't see their names as backers on Kick Starter so here they are: Carsten, Beth, Marie, Rick, Alfred, Eileen, Ron, Erin, and Brad.
That comes to 27 backers believing in this project. How cool is that?
I will be reporting this information to the Freestyle Players' Association as they will be matching up to $1,000. If you haven't already checked them out, here's the link to their home page: http://freestyledisc.org
Sometime soon I will write a Freestyle Jam Camp report and copy you on it.
Have a wonderful 2011 and I wish for you that other people believe in your ideas like you believed in mine.
Sincerely -
Tita

Update #5: Merry Christmas!
With one week left before Freestyle Jam Camp things are starting to look a lot like Christmas!
A renowned disc collector is donating a Space Saucer plus other discs from his collection to auction/donate/sell. How about that?
The t-shirts are ready to be picked up on Monday, offers of help are coming in, a box from Herodiscs arrived with more disc related donations, name tags are being printed out, my living room is piling up with the discs that will be given out to the kids, and the instructors are fired up and ready!
Did I mention that the instructors are coming from as far away as Florida, Oregon, Sacramento, San Diego, and Michigan?
And , did I mention that there are 23 instructors total? And 50+ "campers"?
Yes- it's turning out to look a lot like Christmas!
Update #4: Kids are excited about Jam Camp!
I've done it. My goal was to target a group of kids that need options and alternatives for having fun and I met my goal.
As of today I've registered 30+ kids for Jam Camp. This is very exciting because these kids come from an impoverished area in Los Angeles where some are not able to go outside at night because it's too dangerous or there is no play area nearby. It also means that the families will need to travel to an unknown location about 10 miles from their neighborhood or - from a Spanish only speaking neighborhood to a mostly English speaking neighborhood.
I've spoken with the parents and they are really happy to be able to take their kids to learn something new, fun, and healthy.
Personally I think that the parents are as excited as the kids about Jam Camp.
Thanks for your donations and good wishes.
Now we need at least one day of good So. Cal weather!

Project By
Has not connected their Facebook account.
I began playing frisbee in 1972. Since then and because of frisbee I've met special people, traveled to far away places, and have really been enjoying life playing frisbee with my friends.
A few years ago I decided to start Freestyle Jam Camp so that I could learn to become a better freestyler (advanced throwing and catching; trick moves) and I thought that others might want to learn, too.
It might have begun with an idea from me but the truth is that Freesytle Jam Camp cannot come to life without the help and support of so many people.
