About Myachi:
The Myachi Original Hand Sack is a game and sport developed in 1998 by Steven Ochs. After a brief career on Wall St. that left him broke and disillusioned by the real world, Steven, an entrepreneur at heart, decided to leave it all behind to become the Myachi Man! Armed with little more than a sewing machine, a beat up motor home, and a dream, Myachi Man soon rounded up Kid Myach, Crazy Ivan, and a team of high flying Myachi Masters to spread the Myachi Movement all over the country the last 10 years. Myachis have even been spotted all around the world!
Not only is the Myachi Original Hand Sack a great product for people of all ages, but the Myachi Masters also spread a positive message to young and old alike to not just have a dream, but actually take concrete steps each day to turn that dream into a reality!

Myachi Basics:
Catching a Myachi is like catching an egg, you have to give with it. Players may use any body part to perform any of the thousands of tricks with just one rule…NO PALMS ALLOWED!! You can kick it, flip it, and stick it, but to catch a Myachi properly you must absorb the impact, do not hit or bat at the hand sack. Fun for all ages, Myachis get everyone up, active, and inter-active!
The underlying premise of “No Palms Allowed” is the game play element that separates the Myachi Original Hand Sack from any other toss and catch game or product available on the market. Released in Limited Edition Series on a quarterly basis, there’s a perfect Myachi for everyone!

Overview:
After teaching the game to many thousands of people, we learned 2 important things:
#1. Little kids have little hands!
#2. A larger surface area makes it easier to catch a Myachi
We not only saw the dire need to provide Hand Sack players with a larger surface area for the back of their hands, but also the demand. Not only will more surface area enable both kids and adults to catch a Myachi virtually every time, but it will also give hardcore Myachi Players the ability to take the game to the next level of play!

Inspired by the design of a lacrosse stick head combined with the functionality of a baseball glove, when wearing a Myachi Battle Paddle(s) on the back of one’s hand, players will be able to catch a hand sack thrown from much greater distances and heights as well as successfully perform more difficult tricks rather than when attempting the same feat bare handed. Now, players can compete harder, faster, and longer!
Battle Paddles can be worn on both hands and used by one player while performing tricks alone or play with 2 or more players and battle it out 1 on 1 or make teams. Compete at any of the numerous games developed to play with a Myachi Hand Sack and Battle Paddles: Myachi Pong, Myachi Football, Myachi Lax, Myachi Golf, and many others.

Product Design Details:
The Battle Paddle design elements below illustrate the many details and individual parts that are then assembled together to form the finished product. The unique ambidextrous design allows for the Battle Paddle to be worn on both the right and left hand and these specific dimensions were developed so one size would fit the hand of virtually anyone 5 years old or older.

2 Part Mold: The Battle Paddle base is comprised of a 2 part ABS plastic mold. The top and bottom plates are then sonically welded together to create the finished base paddle. The holes in the mold and sculpted sides provide an aerodynamic design to increase players hand speed by reducing wind drag resistance.

PVC Friction Flame: The flame pattern sculpted into the top plastic mold allows for the inlaid fire pattern PVC material (pictured below) to then be inserted and sonically welded to the paddle base frame. OK, we admit we went with the flame pattern so it would look really cool, but make no mistake about it, the PVC rubber is the most critical element of the product as it creates the friction necessary to prevent the hand sack from sliding off the Battle Paddle upon contact with the ABS plastic when catching, throwing, or performing tricks. This is a vital function to the product’s overall success.

Paddle Shape Details: The wide, flat, and smooth open mouth design allows players to scoop the hand sack off of grass and other surfaces like a lacrosse player would and also allows for the hand sack to slide off the Paddle unimpeded when tossing to another player.
In addition to the PVC surface to create friction, the curvature of the paddle and the raised outer walls around the remaining perimeter of the paddle provide an additional measure to further prevent the Myachi from sliding off the Battle Paddle when catching.

Finger Loops and Wrist Strap Design: The individual finger loop design was developed to give all 5 fingers their own support system in order to keep the players hand flat during play and train a players hand to be in the natural “Lotus Position” when playing bare handed.

The 2 outer most loops on the right and left are for the pinky and thumb on both hands. Elastic is used to accommodate both children’s and adult fingers while still providing the hand and fingers a full range of mobility.
The middle 3 fingers have individual elastic loops for each finger and the additional D ring with adjustable Velcro strap to allow players to tighten to their own comfort level.
The Velcro wrist strap is also adjustable to provide a snug fit and prevent the Paddle from slipping off players hands during competition.
