The Main Event!

Fashion should be more than a show... it should be an experience!!

I'm Amy Lou, and to launch my new collection, I’m collaborating with award winning body painter, Georgette Pressler of Devious Body Art.

With this show, Georgette and I seek to establish ourselves at the forefront of the South Florida fashion and art community. Our goal is to create something more than just a runway show. We want to immerse attendees in an interactive exotic environment; to create an atmosphere that exemplifies the inspiration for the jewelry collection.

We plan on bringing you an evening of beautifully painted models adorned with layers of custom handmade jewelry. We are setting the entire mood of the Green Room's venue to transport guests to the wild SERENGETI plains! Giraffes will tower over attendees, while playful cheetahs entice the crowd from the main stage!  Sip complimentary champagne and vodka during our cocktail hour. Listen as ambient and jungle music make you feel the exotic evening running through your blood. Just when you think there's too much for the eye to take in... we bring you a special dance performance from the high flying dynamic movement artist Tony Surphman!

Not only do we want to introduce ourselves, our work and my new jewelry line to South Florida and it's couture boutiques, but we also seek to give back to the community through a fund raising raffle.

Local and established artists and sponsors have donated amazing and sought after items for our raffle. All attendees will be able to win, as well as any $15 Kickstarter Backer!! We will purchase a 3 for 1 ticket for you and enter you into the drawing as well!

Fashion shows are boundless, there's a new one every weekend... but this... this is a chance to create an environment! A HAPPENING! We want the viewer to be part of the show. Walk around each model as she displays art and design like a living statue. Get up close and personal to the hand cut and forged pieces of jewelry. Interact with entertainers and become a critical part of the event. We feel that fashion and art should be an experience for all of the senses. Be part of the movement and energy, don't just watch it!

WHO WE ARE

Amy Lou is a jewelry line infused with the energy and spirit of the natural elements, yet explores designs enriched with a mixture of funky subculture fashion. Each piece is created to not only capture the eye, but invoke emotion and inspiration.

The new collection is inspired by the Serengeti. It’s full of large statement pieces with heavy chain detail, and it encompasses straight lines and geometric shapes, along with earthy tones and bright colors. Brass, copper, and nickel are used for an aged antique look, along with large beaded pieces that layer from the neck down, reminiscent of African tribeswomen.

Georgette Pressler, of Devious Body Art, has been a body painter for over 12 years, and she has worked with clients such as Versace, Playboy, and Breezes Resorts in Jamaica. The 4th place winner at North American Body Paint Championships and the New Times Body Painter of the Year for 2010, Georgette has been transforming South Florida's art events, black tie affairs, private parties and corporate events for years. Bringing body paint and special FX makeup to a new audience of intelligent and sophisticated clients, Devious Body Art creates lasting memories.

Funding the Project

The funds that you donate to this project will help to cover the production costs of this interactive fashion show.

The funds will be used for:

• Costuming materials
• Performer costs
• Models and makeup artists
• Event Photographer
• Stage set costs such as renting plants, baskets, fabric, tables,etc.
• Marketing costs (fliers, brochures and printing)
• Materials to create the jewelry

No Contribution Is Too Small

The minimum pledge is a dollar, although I hope you can pledge more. Every contribution helps us get closer to our goal of creating a dynamic and powerful evening of art and fashion. If you are unable to contribute, please take a moment to spread the word through any social media sites available.
