Brothers Three: Vol 1, will contain the adventures spun by Mortimer J. Moose in the 1st year of the Brothers Three Webcomic.

You know, if it weren’t for me, no one would have ever heard of the Brothers Three… Who am I you ask? The name is Mortimer J. Moose. I’m the co-creator and extremely handsome narrator of the Brothers Three. Course, being stuffed and mounted to the wall in their house sure limits my options, but who’s complaining. The excitement never ends around here and from high atop my perch I’ve seen it all.

Everyone always talks about how they want to hire somebody to write the story of their life. Well, not me. I’m not nearly as interesting as the company I’ve been forced to keep. So instead of my story, I’ve commissioned writer/artist Joshua Hauke to chronicle the Tales of the Brothers Three.

Every week, for more than 3 years now Josh and I have been spinning yarns about the Brothers Three on our website http://www.brothers3comics.com. The time has come however for these stories to be printed, and with your help, that’s exactly what we intend to do.

THE STORY:

Tales of the Brothers Three is an all ages comic about three brothers, their stuffed monster, and the whole world of trouble they get into. To the brothers, everything in their house can transform in a mystery or an adventure… Before we get in too deep, I suppose I should make some introductions. It is after all, not everyday that you come across fine young gentlemen as the Brothers Three.

Keith is the oldest, and when I say old I mean he’s ready for retirement. He’s convinced himself that he suffers from a number of aliments, such as arthritis and male pattern baldness. Although, after spending time with Wayne he’s sure he has dementia.

If the Brothers Three are in trouble, you can almost always bet it started with Wayne. Wayne, the middle child, fancies himself an adventurer/monster hunter/television enthusiast and that’s just to name a few too. He’s also, though he would never admit it, more than a little jealous of his youngest brother, Dougie. If it were up to Wayne, his stuffed monster/best friend, Mook, would swallow Dougie whole.

As far as monsters go, Mook is at the top of his class. He and Wayne are the most loyal friends you’ll ever meet. He does have a few faults though. His favorite meal isn’t people, it’s socks (dirty, clean, it doesn’t matter) and you’d better not leave him alone in a room without a nightlight, because he’s scarred of the dark.

The youngest of the Brothers Three and perhaps the most playful is Dougie. Unfortunately for him he’s also the most gullible. Even the tiniest of tales can send him into a tale spin. Luckily, when he dons his cape and the moniker SUPER DOUGIE, he is impervious to danger.

Now, these tales I’ve been talkin’ about have really been known to scramble the ol’ noggin on an occasion or two. I hope you’ll bear with me as I try to explain. You see the Brothers Three have what is known in Latin as, “Confectusly Fortis Confictura”, but you might know it better as an, “Overactive Imagination.”

I should mention, more commonly than not, their imaginations have been known to get the better of them. Why, with their brain juices they’ve unlocked the universal remote control to their mind, been named kings, survived a chicken a-pox-alypse, and even controlled the universe.

The boys overactive imaginations aren’t entirely at fault, certainly a lot of the blame falls to their parents. There are only so many tall tales you can tell a child before they start to become true.

And just like everyone else’s kids, when they’re not battling some bizarre cosmic force, they’re battling each other. Then again, I bet it’s not that normal to suck your brother up inside of a vacuum or to put your brother on mute. I suppose you’ll have to be the judge for yourself.
