As my 18 siblings and I were growing up one of our favorite childhood memories was dad (Philip Wells Brown) playing on his guitar while singing us to sleep at night. He would make up songs of the adventures that he saw us kids acting out. In our imaginative stories, couches became mountains, carpets turned into seas; pets were ferocious dragons and sticks transformed into magical swords. He wrote and performed several of these songs that he now shares with his thirty-plus grandchildren.
"The Adventurous Tales of Philip Wells" is a story that helps children realize that as they explore the adventures of their imagination and discover the fun and creative side of the mind that fantasy can take them anywhere.
Illustrated by renowned, two time hall of fame, award winning animation artist Phil Wilson. We have partnered together to bring to life a full color, 32-page, hardcover book, crafted for children preschool to 8 years old.

OUR SONG Phil Brown (dad) is an extremely interactive parent and grandparent and has a knack for turning everyday tasks into teachable moments while making them fun. He plays a variety of musical instruments and has composed numerous songs, articles and books (this among them is first to be published), he is a marketer, a philosopher and was director of the Good Shepherd Academy, a private Christian school. Phil is a master gardener and also enjoys spending time with his family, he is a retired engineer and has pursued various degrees.
OUR ILLUSTRATOR
Phil Wilson is a Pittsburgh based illustrator with 45 years of professional experience in the animation and illustration fields. As co-owner of an animation studio, he created award-winning animation for two half-hour TV specials, a hit music video for singer Tom Petty, TV commercials, and feature films.
As an illustrator, he has done over 70 children's books as well as video box art, over 80 collector's art plates, magazine article illustration, posters, book covers, billboards, greeting cards, brochures, jigsaw puzzles, and even a dinosaur monopoly game.
His major clients include The Walt Disney Company, Time-Warner, The Bradford Exchange, Golden Books, Greenleaf Publications, Intervisual Books ,Goodtime Home Video, National Geographic, Travelodge Inns, Wild Outdoor World Magazine, Harper-Collins Books, VH1/Viacom, Heinz, CBS/"60 Minutes",and Publications International, to name just a few.
Phil has worked in virtually all media, but his media of choice is generally watercolor or acrylic, applying traditional techniques as well as airbrush. His working style ranges from cartoon to photo-realism including various styles "in between".
He has garnered numerous awards for his work in both film and illustration, and has been inducted into two halls of fame.

He specializes in classic Disney character art and scientifically accurate dinosaur illustration. working with world-renowned paleontologists.

Your support will pay for the illustrations, graphic designs, marketing and our first edition printing.
When our goal is exceeded we will hire a professional voice over and send an MP3 to all our Kickstarter contributors and eventually a CD with the song and narration will accompany the book
