We are the Filmdrunk Frotcast- a podcast dedicated to movies, drinking, laughing, and having as much fun as we can. You may have never heard of us, but if you have listened before, you know we like playing Steven Seagal music, listening to Parry Gripp, discussing Paul Blart's next movie, making fun of Miley Cyrus' voice and oh so much more.
History of the Frotcast: The Frotcast crew (Vince, Ben, Brendan and Bret) all met in college 10+ years ago in San Diego. Vince Mancini has been the Writer and Editor of Filmdrunk.com for years, so you may have visited the site at some point in your life and enjoyed his Jason Statham posts or laughed at his epic Photoshopping. When Vince moved back to San Francisco a few years ago (after receiving his Masters in Ascot Tying from Columbia University), we decided to start our very own Podcast called the Frotcast. Since then, we have been recording the Frotcast weekly from the San Francisco Frotquarters. We have 117 episodes and counting, so if you want to hear what we are about simply search Frotcast on iTunes.
About the crew: Vince loves cooking shows almost as much as he loves daytime court shows almost as much he loves MMA. Ben is the only Jew who rides a motorcycle and somehow enjoys Michael Bay movies. Brendan is a tall man who loves metal music and has an insane memory about pretty much anything. Bret is the World's Preeminent expert on squirrel drawings and dislikes anything Ben likes. Frotcast regular Laremy Legel AKA Man's Best Friend's Worst Enemy will also be in the house for this Live Chicago Frotcast. When not on the Frotcast, Laremy reviews every movie ever made and makes regular appearances on local morning news shows where he reads lots of lists.
We were honored to be invited to do a Live Podcast Extravaganza in Chicago by DocFilms, but the funding fell through. So instead of simply NOT coming to Chicago, we are taking to Kickstarter to help fund our Live Show.
The Details:
When: Saturday, November 3rd (show will start around 11:30 pm) and Sunday November 4th (show will start around 9:30 pm).
Where: Max Palevsky Cinema in Ida Noyes Hall at The University of Chicago. 1212 East 59th Street, Chicago, IL 60637
Who: The whole Frotcast crew of Vince, Bret, Ben, Brendan and Frotcast regular Laremy Legal will all be in the house. Hopefully you will be there, too.
What: We will do a live Frotcast to start, then screen the best movie of all time The Running Man, and then do some Frotcasting afterwards. We may take audience questions, Laremy will read lists, and other fun will be had.
Why: Because we would LOVE to do a live podcast! Maybe you have heard us before and laughed at our general jackassery and sometimes funny jokes and would love to see us live us in Chicago. If you have never heard of us, you can check out our podcast- go to iTunes and search Frotcast to find them all. You are allowed to laugh and have fun even if you have never heard us before.

We have gotten a lot of questions from people regarding how to purchase multiple levels (like the Audio AND video, or a T-Shirt AND a ticket). Kickstarter is not great with this, so the best workaround is to pledge the total amount of BOTH items in one level. For example, if you want a T-shirt AND a ticket, pledge $50. Then PLEASE send me a note of the other item you want. I will manually make a note which items you purchased.
