ORIGINAL ROCK OPERA ADMIRAL EARTH: A WORKING TITLE

PREMIERS AT STAGE 773

CHICAGO – In the year 2053, the City of Chicago will find itself in peril due to over-pollution, an extremely evil doctor, and excessive throwbacks to the 1990’s. At least, that’s the plot of the upcoming original rock opera Admiral Earth: a working title. Written by Matthew Asciutto and Anthony Venturini, this show chronicles the journey of eco-friendly superhero Admiral Earth as he attempts to defeat the evil Dr. Greenhauseffect, save his true love (Mother Earth), and preserve the beauty of the one thing he holds most dear: the Brown Line. With music performed by The Earthtones, the production will be performed at Stage 773 from May 10th to June 7th every Thursday at 8pm.

“What started off as a little half an hour show idea has EXPLODED into this two hour extravaganza,” explains Venturini. “I think that is the curse of the rock opera format; they can be so overblown and ridiculous…by the time we picked our heads up… this thing was two hours long”.

“When I moved to Chicago, all I wanted to do was find a coffee shop where I could set up and play guitar,” says Asciutto. “Now I get to lead an amazing band through an epic theatrical experience! As the Californian in me says: I’m stoked!”

OUR GOAL:

This entire production has been funded by Au Naturale Productions, a new company with no money. They have definitely gone a bit overboard in their mission to make this the best, most well-produced show possible, and are looking to recoup some costs in order to get out of the red and save what's left of their precious hair from getting pulled out. Any amount would certainly help and be greatly appreciated.
