A Finished Record and What Comes Next
Dear Backers,
It has been a long time since my last update. But this update is a big one and we're very excited about it. As of yesterday I received the last edit to the masters for this record – which means that it is finished. This project that you made possible if finally done. So here's a brief summary of what's been going on the past few months:
When we finished the actual recording of the record, we brought in a fantastic mix engineer from Atlanta to take our recorded tracks and make them sound simply fantastic. Those were a lot of late nights listening and tweaking. Then, about a month ago, we sent our record off to Yes Master to be further worked on. We wanted all of the tracks to sound tighter, warmer, and better. They would send us the work they had done and we would send them our notes and we've been tweaking and tweaking until yesterday. And now its done.
SO WHAT HAPPENS NOW AND WHEN DO I GET MY STUFF?
Great question. If you had something simple coming to you, like a digital download, then just wait a few more weeks and you should see download instructions appear in your email. If you're due to receive a physical copy of the CD, we are going to send it to the printing company early next week. So we are looking at a two to three week turnaround before you start getting those in the mail. If we are recording a cover or a song for you, you should be hearing from us in the next two weeks personally to either send you the cover or talk to you about the specifics of what you requested. The time line for these items will vary depending on how happy you are with what we do. If you don't like it, we are going to keep working until you do. It means the world to us that you would give your money to our project and so now we want to give some of that love back.
We're also launching our artist collaboration project now. So as you get the music and listen to it, feel free to contact us if you are an artist and are interested in making art that is in conversation with our new record. We'll send out more information about this in our final few updates.
Again, I can't thank you enough for everything each one of you has done to make this possible. We have nothing but love and appreciation for you.
