Update #4: Thank You!

Posted on December 22

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your support and help throughout the last month.  The total funds pledged are $5,307.  This money will go toward finishing the documentary and enable us to approach film festivals with a final version.

By the way, we were written up in two websites.  Please take a look when you get the chance.

Update #3: We've Reached Our Goal!

Posted on December 16

We've reached our goal of $5,000 five days before the deadline.  This is a good sign for the documentary.  We want to thank you for your generosity and support.

I've been asked what is the money going towards.  First, we need to transcribe all of the interviews, and then I need to purchase an external hard drive that will store all the interviews, archival footage, photos and documents.  That's the starting point.  After that happens, we then begin work with the editorial team.

Thanks again, everyone.  If you have any questions or thoughts, please send along an email.

Update #2: Happy Birthday to Arleen/Preview of Interview

Posted on December 12

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for your pledges.  I feel that the momentum is going our way.  It's Arleen's birthday today. She turns 68 and is thrilled that people are supporting this project.

By the way. I'm attaching a video clip of an interview that we conducted with Alan Vega.  Alan, who played at A's, was part of an influential No Wave band called Suicide.  In this clip he talks about how New York was  in the late 1970s, and he reminisces about Deborah Harry when she was signed with Sire Records.

Update #1: News Story about Wednesdays at A's

Posted on December 9

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your pledges.  So far we've reached 50% of our goal.  We have 12 more days, but I'm confident that we will reach the $5,000 mark.  If you have the time, please send an email or post on Facebook, Twitter, etc.  I know some of you have done so and thanks for that.

By the way, we are starting to get some press coverage.  A website called East Village Grieve published an article about Arleen, and the Wall Street Journal's website linked to that story.

Here are the articles...
