Art Appreciation Paris: Animation in the City of Lights

Is a course that combines critical studies and studio practice in an interdisciplinary, collaborative teaching environment. This travel-based offering provides first hand experience of the artistic, cultural, and historic ethos of the city of Paris, with instruction and time to create original animation art (pixilation, light animation, cut-out animation) while exploring this luminous city on the Seine. Masha Vasilkovsky and Leo Hobaica Jr., and several artists in Paris will instruct this class at Cal Arts and in Paris.

I am raising funds for my final project in this class, which will culminate into a French inspired animation. Because I am paying out of pocket for the plane ticket, hotel, museum entries, food, etc. while in Paris I am raising funds for the production of my animation. Your donation will help me to buy materials such as but not limited to:

-watercolors

-paint brushes

-paper

-sketch books/large sketch pad

-pencils

-pastels

-possible animation software

-india ink

-acrylic paints

-crayons

-other general art supplies

-Bus fare from Paris to Versailles (the basis of the location for my animation)

-DVD's (so I can share my work with all of you!!)
