My last album, Once I Was A Bird, was a breakthrough for me as I gained recognition on a national level as a result of some really nice praise from the likes of American Songwriter, My Old Kentucky Blog, Relix, Magnet, The Boston Globe and a whole lot of others. To read those reviews, CLICK HERE.
In addition to the media breaks, there were many career highlights that came along such as being invited to perform at Bonnaroo and by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons to be one of three artists to perform on the first Communion Tour of the United States. That was an amazing experience with so many highlights including the opportunity to do a live concert webcast from Bob Weir's TRI Studios. And even as I write this, I am taking a break from recording, and on my way to do a short tour that will include a performance at Mountain Jam Festival in Hunter, NY. The past 18 months have been full of great moments of discovery that have helped to set the stage for even greater opportunities that will come with the release of my next album.

I am already in the process of recording my 3rd album and hoping that this Kickstarter campaign will raise enough money so that I can complete the recording on a timely basis. I can’t even begin to tell you what this album represents to me musically as it is such a big step forward artistically.
We’re taking an entirely different approach with this album in the way that it is recorded. The emphasis is on a full band sound and we are achieving that in the studio by having all the players record their parts together live. The chemistry of everyone playing together translates really beautifully on the record and we are creating a sound that is new to my recordings.
My producer, Andy Zenczak, calls the music “Laurel Canyon folk meets the Byrds meets Jerry Garcia in the Haight Ashbury days.” It definitely has an edginess to it and a more defined indie sound that plays off of that vintage vibe.
I’ve set a goal of $7,500.00 for my Kickstarter campaign and that money will be used for studio costs, recording, mixing, mastering, producer, engineer and musicians. I would like to raise more than that and if we do then I will be updating this page with how that money will be used to market and promote the music.
I know that many of you are friends and family and long time listeners and I really want to thank you for your support – past and present. It will make me very happy if this Kickstarter campaign makes all of you feel like you are part of the creative process of making an album. I am grateful for your support and I am looking forward to sharing new songs and music with you!
