America's collapsed. The reader is immersed in this situation. Refuge is found. Practical communal living is key to survival.
Prepared in the Wilderness is a fiction novel that immerses the reader in perilous times where America has followed the way of other nations, collapsing because of it’s irresponsible behavior, and many citizens find sanctuary in the wilderness while fleeing from international and domestic agencies illegally siezing property as a result of shady backdoor deals made by politicians supposedly in charge of this once great nation.
You, the reader are potentially in of one of these communities that have found sanctuary. Calamities have surrounded you. Natural disasters occur daily. War, famine, rumors of war, pestilence, and numerous other dangerous warning signs have come to fruition. Anarchy ensues. America’s economy has been crippled, it’s nation destroyed seeking to appease a governmental entity that desires nothing more than to eradicate believers in Christ that have not prepared by listening to the King’s voice piling their carcasses in their beloved churches as martyred for their faith. International and even some domestic agencies are siezing property and hunting down people to place them into reeducation camps to become better citizens in their vision or simply to be slaughtered. You, the reader are given an up and close personal perspective on everything that is surrounding them as you are given the opportunity to read letters between two brothers explaining the events they observe going on , hard issues addressed in their respective communities as they begin to reconcile their relationships while trying to remain hope as the younger brother searches desperately for his family in this horrific time of terror. The reconciliation of their relationship is an ongoing process and not always smooth as these letters will indicate when they share, discuss and even disagree on topics such as the time of tribulation, the Sabbath, the law in relation to grace, being united as a community and not divided, using the gifts given for the benefit of the community, sin, the only requirement for salvation, the relationship between the jews and the gentiles, and lastly the intersection occurring between the jewish and gentile believers accepting each other‘s distinctions while remaining united in cooperative union in preparation for the Messiah coming. The letters are filled with hints on where to go, what to do, what to look for, how to prepare for the worst while hoping for the best, focusing on being united and not divided on non essential idealogies, taking responsibility for themselves and within their households, while most importantly reinforcing the main theme for readers to be encouraged to read the Word of God themselves.
Prepared in the Wilderness is approximately a 225 page christian oriented fiction novel written by Roger Millhouse. The book is completed, has been revised repeatedly, peer reviewed, and scrutinized by respected elders of communities. Proceeds from funding on this kickstarter request will go towards purchasing ISBN, professional editing, and publishing. Every individual that makes a 99 cent investment will be the first to receive a PDF version upon written notification to me on where to send it after completion of editing and, copyright purchase, and ISBN purchase. They will receive the very first electronic copies prior to publishing on Kindle. For anyone that is interested in reading a portion of the book I was inspired to write before willing to invest simply message me on here specifically and I will GLADLY email you a portion of the book.
Who is this book for?
It is intended for primarily Christians to strengthen them, encourage them, and hopefully inspire them to read the Word themselves within their households and take responsibility for their actions in their household and in their community.
It is also intended for people that want to prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and also want to make a positive difference in communities. I have a very specific long term purpose for the royalties of this book when it is published. If you have specific questions please feel free to message me. I was once an orphan, adopted from Cebu into a wonderful loving family who‘s amazing adopted father passed away when I was at the age of 12 and blessed to be raised by a single hard working godly mother who loves me despite choices she didn‘t disagree with. I know the value of being helped and the stress of hard working familes. I was also once a widower left with a 4 month beautiful baby girl. My first wife passed just before our three year anniversary while I was on a deployment with the 26th MEU. I understand the value of being in need and the grace and compassion a community will provide. I have since been blessed with another wonderful godly woman and together we have three children. I seek to leave this world better than how I found it which is why I‘m preparing to go to medical school because I humbly believe this is what God has called me to do. To make a positive impact in the world before I leave it. Life’s to short. We are called to be salt and light to the world. We should all seek to leave the world better than how we came into it.
