Our Story
We were living in Vegas, and new it wasn't the city for us. We also knew we had bigger dreams. We wanted to work for ourselves, to be entrepreneurs and build a different kind of company. A company where people respected each other and felt they had a voice and purpose. An environment that is positive and fun. Passion then profit.
We started brain storming. So many ideas but nothing felt right. Then one night we were cooking and drinking wine in the kitchen. I asked Shane if he ever had a grilled PB&J. He said no way, make me one. So I did. He loved it. He took a few bites, smiled, looked at me and said lets do it, a grilled PBJ cart in Portland. I said NO WAY!
The next day I thought about it. Why not? We can do this if we make them creative and use killer ingredients. I said to Shane, I'm in, lets do this. That was the beginning of our PBJ's adventure. The Las Vegas economy collapsed, we lost our jobs, sold everything and got out. We were broke and didn't care. We move to PDX, worked 2 jobs each and started planning. Menu, location, marketing, biz plan you name it.
With no sleep, a lot of passion and less than a shoe string budget, we opened PBJ's on the corner of NW 23 and Kearney. A lot of people thought our concept was crazy and didn't believe in us. We chose to believe in our selves and moved forward gaining all our PBJ's peeps one bite at a time!
Why We Do What We Do: Simple put, we love it! We enjoy creating new sandwiches, being innovative, and having the ability to create a positive environment we get to be in on a daily basis!
What We Do It For: To be a different kind of company. One that treats team members with dignity, respect and gives them purpose. To build a business, where passion and integrity come first, and then profit. A work place that focuses on a happy and healthy environment. Last But Not Least: We enjoy seeing the smiles we bring to peoples faces when they eat our sandwiches!
Keep our business alive: As most of you know it is difficult for entrepreneurs to source traditional funding. We have experienced this our self's and that is why we are here. We are at a point where it takes funding to grow our company. We are reaching out to all our fans, friends and family!

- Propane lines (Keep our grills nice and hot)
- Stainless steel shelving (Sandwiches served faster)
- Menu boards with new logo
- Cart wraps with new logo for both carts
- Electric grill for indoor catering events (Sandwiches served faster)
- iPads for both carts (So we can take Credit Cards)
These all are items necessary and vital for us to continue to make delicious sandwiches! Shorter wait times, by allowing us to grill sandwiches faster for you all. More convenient options for payments, and make it easier on our PBJ's team!
