How do we describe Not All Clowns Are Bozos?

Well, what is it then???
Not All Clowns Are Bozos is a unique theatrical clowning experience! Ear to the Ground is bringing together the best, brightest, funniest, and wackiest clowns from the Pacific Northwest to create an evening of delightfully devious entertainers to prove that clowns don't have to be scary (thanks a lot, Stephen King -- It was such a public relations nightmare for us!) or limited to circuses and birthday parties.
It's time for clowns to take a stand! We want to show you that clowns can give touching, meaningful, artful, and... well... stupid performances just like any other performing arts discipline, while providing a professional environment for our highly trained performers to practice their craft.
It takes a lot, though. Just one professional clown nose can cost $15 -- but a clown is so much more than a nose!
We need to cover:
- clown stipends
- support staff
- costumes
- space rental
- rubber chickens
- ticketing fees
- promotional efforts
Anyone who's ever put on a show knows that ticket sales only cover a fraction of production costs, and that's where we come to you, our fellow diy-ers, on bended knee, promising not to squirt you with the water from our lapel flowers if you'll find it in the goodness of your heart to help us out. In return, we've got some great thank yous, in addition to a great show!
