july 8th is the date i've been given as the latest possible date for the production of this book to be complete. the book has been delayed in large part because of me being both nit-picky and slow to make decisions. while i appreciate my contributions to this project, this will be the end of the professional relationship between me and i, though we've decided to remain friends.

i'll let everyone know when i have a confirmed date for shipping.

i have chosen july 8th as a release date for the comics that some of the rewards for this project turned into. the book changed so the rewards had to change too i guess. the comics will be free for anyone who has supported the kickstarter or bought the book, but they will be pay-to-download for anyone else i think. originals and other things will be sent to contributors around that time as well.

well we did it everyone we met our goal!!!

but sorry everyone there will be a SLIGHT but SINGLE MONTH delay in getting the books to you, delaying the arrival from the projected MAY 2012 to the now more realistic JUNE 2012. we think you will enjoy the improvements such as the inclusion of real actual formerly-living organic-insect material. the natural world is and grows out of an impossibly complex network of interlocking systems, but we create the illusion of separating these elements and presenting them in a way that a temporary, fleeting being would briefly like to see them arranged as, leaving the problems of all this naturally-developing and growing matter stuck trapped in forms designed intentionally to dissipate in value, to further generations of fleeting, temporally blind beings who so far have responded to the tremendous waste, suffering and inefficiencies of their webs of culture with the creation of more waste, suffering and inefficiencies but choosing in time to feel a sense of ownership over, acceptance of, and sometimes even entitlement to, the waste, suffering and inefficiencies.

things will start shipping in the next couple months, so make sure i've got your address. first to go out will be copies of my first book to people who ordered both. the book should go out in may, and most of you will receive your backer rewards then, some of you will receive them sooner.

there are single-color comics from my blog (in dark blue, red, and brown), gray comics from pictures for sad children, and a color section as well.

there is also a section of abstract drawings, printed in metallic ink

the ink on the cover and spine looks blue from some angles, purple from others

it will go up for pre-order again when i have a firm date for the final production. to play it safe i'd say we're looking at april, possibly may, for these to arrive to you. if you've moved or know you will have moved by that time, please message me an updated address. thank you
