Kickstarter

Hello friends! Well the vinyl finally made it to the house yesterday and so did the posters so for all of you who are set to receive and LP and/or a poster, they will be on the way shortly. If you didn't order one and would like an LP, let me know - I'm happy to ship you one or if you live in and around Austin, I'll have them at my gigs.

Speaking of, we're continuing our run at the Continental Club Gallery in Austin on Monday nights for the rest of 2012. Dr. Polk, Jake, Daniel and Scott are all there starting at 8:30pm every Monday and we are really having a great time. Check out the great review from the Austin Chronicle [read review].

I think this is the official end of this Kickstarter campaign. Thanks to all of you who made this project a reality - it is truly appreciated. I can honestly say this is the coolest way to make a record and I've enjoyed every step - although some of the steps took forever (hello vinyl!). Hey everyone - by now a lot of you should have received your CD and your digital download files. Thanks to all of you who responded to the survey and if you haven't yet, please check your inbox for an email from me via Kickstarter and reply. I need your address to send you the music! 

If you've already responded and haven't received your CD, it should be in your mailbox soon. I'm still waiting on the vinyl and the poster so stick with me as we wrap up the final details. The vinyl is going to sound great! 

The CD release party was a lot of fun and we're going to keep it going with a residency at the Continental Club Gallery starting in October. Every Monday in October starting at 8:30pm you can find me, Dr. Polk and the band at the Gallery playing tunes off the recording so I hope to see you there.

The band was recently on KUT 90.5FM for a live performance and interview in Studio 1A and just yesterday, the Austin Chronicle reviewed the music and gave it 4 stars! I've included links below to listen to the performance on KUT and to read the review.

Well, we made it to the end of the campaign and here are the official stats:

113 of you contributed $5,375 which blew away our original goal of $3,500!

I've just been reviewing the final mixes and so next, we're off to master the sounds and finalize the artwork and duplicate the LPs and CDs. I'll be in touch with each of you along the way and when we're finished, I'll let you know about your rewards and plans for the CD/LP release party.
