The proofing process
What a roller coaster ride it is to take my book to the print shop! About a week ago, they gave me 5 proofs - actual printed copies of the book in C, Bb, Eb, F, and bass clef.
I thought they looked great when I brought them home and I didn't get to actually proofing them until just a couple of days ago. OMG! One of the symbol fonts wasn't properly installed on my system and it didn't display as the cool symbol in the book - but instead as a very large lower case 'g'.
That's all fixed now. And I intend to take the revised files back to the printer tomorrow and get a new round of proof copies sometime next week.
Oh yeah, they are perfect now.
So very soon, you $100 backers will be getting a message from me asking which instrument book you want.
Of course, I'll announce the final publishing here and in emails and social media and my website. If any of you want to help me publicize that the instrument-specific books are ready for purchase, please drop me a line. I'll give you all the info you need.
And be thinking about any contacts you have at music stores and book stores in your area so I can approach them.
I'll also be offering workshops at my studio in SE Portland showing participants how to get the most from Truly FUNdamentals, the most FUN musical warmups ever. If that interests you, drop me a line: meg@meggrace.com
Thank you again, dear backers. You are all first-rate!
Love,
Mary Ellen
